For The Birds of Acadiana relies solely on the generous donations of our supporters. We do not receive Federal or State funding.
Your support is appreciated.
It costs between $100 to $300 to rehabilitate one wild bird.
Costs vary based upon rehabilitation needs and length of stay at the facility.
We care for nearly 1,000 birds per year at For The Birds of Acadiana.

It is important to note that State and Federal Wildlife Rehabilitators
do not receive State or Federal funding.
All expenses are the responsibility of and incurred by the Rehabilitator.
Your generous contributions increase the chance of survival and release by helping to provide the necessary food, shelter and medicine for the birds in our care.
Our goal is to give every ill, injured and orphaned bird that arrives at our facility the best possible chance of survival with the ultimate goal of release back into the wild. We do this through proper nutrition, medication and intense supportive care. It is because of supporters like you that we are able to continue to provide these necessities in order to increase the chances of release and survival of our federally protected feathered friends.
For The Birds of Acadiana is a non-profit organization, classified as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Capital Campaign Fundraiser
We have launched an aggressive Capital Campaign Fundraiser for the construction of a much needed, additional aviary which will consist of multiple rehabilitation habitats in order to accommodate the increased intake load we expect to have starting in 2021. It is estimated that it will cost approximately $10,000.00 to build. Construction is scheduled to begin late this year.
